This Privacy Policy explains how Hare Vittal ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Hare Vittal mobile application ("the App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following limited information:

Account information (Google Sign-In): When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address associated with your Google Account. This is used to identify you within the App and is stored locally on your device.
Usage and diagnostics data: Through Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, and Performance Monitoring), we collect app-interaction data, crash logs, diagnostic information, and device identifiers to keep the App stable and improve it.
Push notification identifier: Through Firebase Cloud Messaging, a device registration token is generated so we can send you notifications about new content.
Content you save on your device: Favorites, downloaded videos, and recently played items are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to us.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide core app functionality, including sign-in, streaming, downloads, and favorites.
To send notifications about new videos and updates.
To monitor stability, diagnose crashes, and improve performance.
To understand general usage patterns through aggregated analytics.

3. How Information Is Shared

We do not sell your personal data. Information is processed by our service provider Google Firebase solely to provide the functions above, in accordance with Google's privacy terms. We do not share your data with any other third parties except where required by law.

4. Data Security

All data collected by the App is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS/HTTPS. We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access.

5. Donations

The App may offer an optional donation feature using UPI. Donations are processed entirely by your chosen UPI/payment app. We do not collect, store, or process any payment or financial information.

6. Permissions

The App may request the following permissions:

Internet — to stream and download content.
Notifications — to deliver updates about new content.
Media access — to save and play downloaded videos on your device.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Account information (name and email) is stored locally and is removed when you log out or uninstall the App. Diagnostic and analytics data is retained for a limited period (up to 90 days) and then automatically deleted.

To request deletion of your account and associated data, please email us at harevittala94@gmail.com with the subject "Delete My Account". We will process your request within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age required by applicable law.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
